Yoga

Finding the path

My mother introduced me to yoga in 2011 after years of accruing sports injuries from gymnastics, cheerleading, and distance running. Afterward, I vowed I wouldn’t be back (ha!)…Six years of dedicated practice and a love for teaching led me to YogaFit teacher training in 2017. I was hooked on the lasting reward of guiding others through their practice and decided to further my yoga education with my 200-hour RYTT. I’ve been a mixed styles instructor (vinyasa and restorative) for over five years.

Mission and style

To nurture and challenge

I’ve been drawn to teaching since I was little. Guiding others to their "lightbulb moments" became what I now know as my purpose. I use much of what I've learned as a writing teacher in yoga class.

I gently establish a safe space by using accessible, encouraging language; giving strong physical alignment and energetic cues; continuously checking in with my students; and adjusting levels of difficulty as I read their energy. While I'm trained in teaching vinyasa flow, I also enjoy teaching relaxing, restorative classes and guiding meditation.
